WORKSHOPS
Learn Hero Douglas’s techniques for composing from nature, with our engaging and fun music-making workshops for groups of all ages. Inspired by Quaestio’s mission to use art to tackle the issues facing our planet, our sessions connect participants with nature.
We offer a range of workshops, adapted for different ages and skill levels, and locations. Together, we will journey into the great outdoors to find inspiration in the local flora and fauna. We’ll make recordings from nature - the sounds of birds, waterfalls, the wind and trees - before using these as material to compose our own songs. Along the way, we’ll discuss local geology, culture and history, and the ways we can live more harmoniously within our environment.
Our workshops build on the themes of our shows. Packages are available for groups who’d like to attend a performance and participate in a workshop. We also offer standalone bespoke workshops, including for schools, tour companies and retirement communities. Contact us via our contact form to discuss your interests and needs.
Singer, harpist and composer Hero Douglas is a Qualified Mountain Leader, first aider, and DBS-checked. Based in Capel Curig, Wales, she regularly leads tours, hikes and workshops in Snowdonia National Park.

Reference from Overseas Adventure Travel:
"Hero Douglas from Quaestio Productions runs workshop performances with our visitors from the US a couple of times a week in the summer. She plays the harp, sings in English and Welsh, talks to them about her instrument, work as a composer and also the local area and teaches them a few Welsh phrases. The experience of her playing the harp and singing is an enchanting experience. She really brings the Welsh culture to life for our travellers and is a truly inspiring young woman."
